Since its founding in 2002, NITP established foreign relations with and became member of over 30 organizations. NITP has been broadening its foreign relations through implementing IT related projects and programs together with foreign organizations, organizing international level meetings and forums, and involving its staff in long and short term trainings. As of today, NITP has permanent relations with over 10 organizations.

NITP joined the Information Technology Professionals Examination Council as a member in 2005 and became the official Information Technology Engineers Examination (ITEE) organizer in 2006. Since becoming the official exam organizer, NITP has organized 18 successful ITEE’s. The last exam was held on October 26, 2014 at the NITP. Out of the 4 levels of the ITEE, NITP organizes 3 levels: Information Technology Passport Examination, Fundamental Information Technology Engineer’s Examination, and the Applied Information Technology Engineer’s Examination. NITP is also in cooperation with the ITPEC member countries: Multimedia Technology Enhancement Operations in Malaysia, Myanmar Computer Federation, Philnits Foundation, Inc. in Philippine, National Electronics And Computer Technology Center in Thailand, Vietnam Training And Examination Center, Bangladesh Computer Council, and the Information Technology Promotion Agency of Japan.The Executive Directors meeting and the Question Formulation meeting are organized twice a year. The most recent Question Formulation meeting was organized in Hanoi, Vietnam in December 3-5, 2014, where the 2015 ITEE questions were discussed and selected.

NITP was first a member of the National Business Incubation Association in 2004-2008. It renewed its membership on 17 March, 2015 as a Gold member. As the world’s leading organization advancing business incubation and entrepreneurship, NBIA provides thousands of professionals with information, education, advocacy and networking resources to bring excellence to the process of assisting early-stage companies. NBIA serves more than 2,100 members in over 60 nations and NITP is proud to be a member of such a vast membership directory.

NITP requested to become member of the Asian Science Parks Association in 2011 and became an official member in 9 September, 2012. NITP renewed its membership of 2014-2015 on 2 October, 2014.

Together with ASPA, NITP successfully organized the 9thLeaders Meeting in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia on 19-21 June, 2014 with the theme “Best Practices of Asian Science Parks”.

World Technopolis Association

The first relations with the World Technopolis Association was established when Mr. A. Uuganbayar, Head of the Cooperation, Research and Development Office participated in the seminar training organized by WTA and UNESCO in 16-19 November, 2011. NITP became a member of WTA in 2013 and since has been actively participating in the seminars and conferences organized by WTA

The first relations with NIPA was established when NIPA representatives visited Mongolia in September 06-08, 2011. Together with the Huree University of Information and Communication Technology, the NITP and NIPA established a memorandum of cooperation to develop open sources. NIPA constantly organizes ICT expert trainings to which NITP actively sends employees for capacity building and experience exchange.

A Memorandum of Understanding between the Information Technology, Post and Telecommunications Authority of the Government of Mongolia and the National IT Industry Promotion Agency of the Republic of Korea on Bilateral Cooperation in the field of software and ICT was established on 25 October, 2014 in Seoul, Korea. This provided more opportunities for further cooperation between NITP and NIPA.

Test Of Practical Competency in ICT ( TOPCIT)

Communications and Information Technology Authority of Mongolia (CITA, formerly known as ITPTA) signed the Memorandum of Understanding with the Institute for Information and Communications Technology Promotion of South Korea to introduce TOPCIT in Mongolia on October, 2015. This institute is subsidiary institute of Korea’s National IT Industry Promotion Agency.

In continuation of the MoU implementation, CITA, IITP and National Information Technology Park (NITP) of Mongolia jointly organized TOPCIT evaluation in Mongolia and NITP became the official TOPCIT (Test Of Practical Competency in ICT) organizer in Mongolia. TOPCIT is a performance-evaluation-centered test designed to diagnose and assess the competency of ICT specialists and software developers that is critically needed to perform jobs on the professional frontier.
